Greenville’s ONLY Outdoor Town Common Yoga Class!

Yoga flow down by the river! Beginner friendly! No experience required!

Join us in Uptown Greenville for our Spring 2023 Yoga in the Park Series, aimed at enriching the lives of all residents of Pitt County!

We are a studio dedicated to enriching members of our communities lives through the benefits of yoga, meditation, and breathwork.

We have worked hard to put together this special program to benefit our cOMmunity!

Our Yoga in the Park Series is Pay What You Can! Choose an amount in alignment with you between $5 and $20. Cash donations are also accepted in person.

Our goal is to engage with our cOMmunity in a meaningful way and make yoga more accessible to all Greenville residents, all while helping support three worthwhile causes.
Along with Wednesday evening and weekend morning classes, once a month we host a yoga and soundbath event!

AND THIS SEASON WE ARE GIVING 50% OF ALL CLASS PROCEEDS TO THE FOLLOWING WONDERFUL LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS:

April: Center for Family Violence Prevention

The Center for Family Violence Prevention offers a safe, encouraging, and welcoming place for survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence and their children. They are committed to providing resources and services to ensure the basic needs of survivors are addressed and survivors are empowered as they walk their journey towards self-sustainability and healing. We are honored to assist them in their efforts!

May: HeARToscope

The mission of HeARToscope is the pursuit of the following principles, presented by the acronym C.A.R.E: Community, Art, Relationships, and Equity. Through growing relationships in our community with art programs aimed at reaching everyone, HeARToscope is essential to ensure our community continues to thrive. We’re so excited to assist their vision!

The mission of the Pitt County AIDS Service Organization is to prevent the transmission of HIV through educational outreach and testing to Pitt County and the surrounding counties of Eastern North Carolina and to provide assistance to those living with, and affected by HIV/AIDS in our community. In providing this outreach and these services we strive to treat all people with dignity, respect, and compassion. We can’t wait to collaborate with them in their journey!

Where:

This class is outdoors at Town Commons. We meet behind the amphitheater stage in the grassy area, near the stage ramp. Look for the yogi in the Purple Blossom shirt, and people with mats! In the event the grass is not optimal for practice, we will move to the stage.

How much:

How much: In effort to build community and expand our loving space, we are opening this class to PAY WHAT YOU CAN! Choose between $5, $10, $15, and $20 payment options. Preregistration is not required and cash donations are accepted in person. Note to pass holders: While you are welcome to use your membership passes, 10 class pack, and intro offer passes, you do have the option of choosing to pay for one of the $5-$20 options to assist our efforts in donating! This can be done at registration, or just let us know when you come.

When:

Classes are twice weekly, Wednesday evenings and weekend mornings, with times subject to change with the season/sunrise/sunset. Our website and booking software always reflect the most up to date schedule.

What to bring:
Mat, towel, water, bug spray, any props you may want. Mats and props will NOT be provided. In the event the ground may be soft or slightly damp, it is recommended to have a large towel or beach mat underneath your mat for optimal practice experience.

Outdoor Yoga Policies

General Info:

Students are encourage to pre-register on our website and sign a waiver before coming to any outdoor class. All PBY Pre-Registration, Tardiness, Early and Late Cancellation, and No-Show policies apply. please click here to view our studio policies and procedures

Weather Cancellations:
In the event of inclement weather, the class will cancelled and all registered students will be notified via email and text message. Evening classes will be cancelled and students will be notified 2 hours before class time. Morning classes will be cancelled and students will be notified by 8 PM the night before. There are no refunds for inclement weather. However, you can choose to use your pass purchase for a different outdoor class, if desired. Outdoor yoga passes can only be used for outdoor classes.
What constitutes inclement weather?
Expected rain of more than 40% before or during class, extreme soggy ground from previous extended rains, or having a projected high temperature of 55F or less or 90F or more during class constitutes inclement weather.
